Set out. Forsaking the security of monthly cheques, two of us decided to take the highway with a backpack of ideas and an appetite for adventures. It’s been a thrilling journey so far. green mango was born six months ago with a mission to offer effective communication solutions- written and visual, and innovative design. J.J. School of Arts played the founding role and the work experience disciplined us. After two years of office going, we decided- if we are going to settle with dark circles, might as well be our own boss.
We took off. Our sole corporate client- Anshul Agencies, the second largest specialty chemical application facilitators in India, wanted a corporate planner. We moved away from the traditional photography and hired a street artist for the planner. It was widely appreciated by their national and international partners as well as clients. We recently, made a corporate film for them talking about the company’s philosophy and their working operations. It was showcased at the conference attended by their global principals, and clients.
Stand out. Our publicity budget was restricted, and contacts limited. We used a hand woven cane basket, fresh and tangy green mangoes (we began in summer), and a mango shaped brochure to tell our tale. Refreshing ideas, passion for innovation, sincerity, and just about enough experience were our selling points.
Mangoes did it for us. Mr. Amrish Arora, owner of Fountain Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. called us. He entrusted his one year old baby- Flamboyante Restaurant at World Trade Center, to us. We redesigned his logo, making it more relevant to the restaurant’s name and image. We designed conceptualized and designed his menu. On 29th September 2008, Flamboyante received second prize for menu presentation at the International Tourism Awards. Our two months’ efforts paid off.

Pawan Sony, a new mango in the basket- 2010
Welcome. We have a new member on board- Pawan Sony, my new partner at Green Mango. An acclaimed writer and filmmaker, he has written Dil dosti etc. (2007) and has done screenplay and dialogues for Fast Forward (2009).
Now, we are a team of four, working six days a week, for bread, butter and a dash of jam :)
